I'm now just a few quid off completing step 14 of my Doubling Plan and hoping to get there within the next week. Meanwhile, there's a few updates to tell you about.
Firstly, the stoozing plan I spoke of in my previous post is ticking along nicely. I've now got £2000 of interest-free borrowed cash sitting in my current account and earning me interest. Coincidently, on the same day it entered my account, I got my first credit card statement from Ulster Bank through the post requesting a minimum payment of £66. Fortunately it's not due until the 24th of November, so I'll sit on the cash a bit longer before paying it ![]()
Secondly, I've received a cheque from Treasure Trooper for $33.85 USD, which equates to about 15 quid in real money. The bad news is that it's going to cost me money to pay it into my current - £10 from A+L or £5 from Lloyds TSB. This was an oversight by myself. I didn't expect there would be a charge for paying in cheques in a foreign currency. I thought that Treasure Trooper would send me a cheque in Sterling anyway. An oversight by myself, but never mind. I guess I'll have to decide whether it's still worth cashing!
Thirdly, I've been paid £7.68 cashback by RPoints (a British company dealing in British money).
And finally, I've found 6p of real money, while out on my travels.
Step 14 In Progress
Cumulative Cash: £78.08
